Sulunga is a suburb in Lancaster County with many beautiful gardens and parks. The unincorporated community holds around 3500 residents and is one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania. Previously, Sulunga was part of the Salunga-Landisville CDP before separating into two individual CDPs for the 2010 census– which are Landisville and Salunga. The name “Salunga” originates from the nearby Chiquesalunga (now Chickies) Creek, which is also derived from the Lenape “Chiquesalunga,” meaning “place of the crayfish.” Sulunga occupies approximately 1.80 square miles and is entirely land, which means water occupies nothing of the total area. Most residents in Sulunga own their homes, and the community offers a sparse suburban feel.
